Description
A large-scale installation spanning three interconnected rooms, held together by a six-channel soundscape.
Before the exhibition, a series of site-specific rituals and social sculptures were developed together with local residents around the stranded boat at Boat in the Forest. These collective actions became part of the filmed material presented in the installation.
People from different parts of the world were also invited to send signals- through light, fires, gesture and video, which were woven into the work alongside recordings from the local rituals. Individual acts became part of a larger shared landscape of communication, attention and uncertainty.
Rather than documenting these encounters, the installation translated them into an immersive environment where sound, moving image and sculptural elements invited visitors into an experience of shared vulnerability, imagination and ecological interdependence.
