The Terrain of Sensory Material:
A Physical Conversation Led by Children for Their Parents
The Workshop
Conceived and led by choreographer and multidisciplinary artist Philippe Blanchard, this artistic
workshop invites us to consider a powerful question:
What can we learn from our children — from their imagination, their way of seeing the world
— and how far are we willing to trust them?
In an unbalanced and ecologically uncertain world, this workshop encourages participants to
approach the unknown with curiosity rather than fear.
It offers a space where adults and children exchange roles, blurring the lines between guide and
guided, child and adult, responsibility and play — all within the context of eco-artistic practice.
Using painting, charcoal, paper, and bodily movement, the workshop creates a playful and
artistic environment for exploring how we relate to one another — especially within the parent-
child relationship — through sensory and creative experiences.Participant Information
Each participating adult (aged 25 to 60) will attend with one child aged 6 to 11. The total number of participants is limited to 20.
Children and adults will be supported by Philippe Blanchard and his team throughout the three
workshop sessions, which will take place on either:
• October 23 and 25
23e 17.00-18.30 25e 15.00-17.00
Participants should wear comfortable clothes suitable for artistic activities. While paint and charcoal will be used, they can be easily cleaned at home after each session.
Please note:
• You can sign up for one, two or all three days
• The final session, on October 25, will be open to the public.
Each session will last approximately 90 minutes and will take place at Gulleboverket.
No prior experience in art or ecology is needed — only a willingness to engage.
This will be a unique, hands-on, and sensory journey for every participant.
